Slower, warmer, more considered photography for hotels.
I’m Sam, a photographer and filmmaker based in Melbourne. I’ve worked across Australia, Tokyo and Southeast Asia, and recently in France, Italy, Monaco and Turkey.
Travel is what taught me to see. Unfamiliar streets, slow hotel mornings and light I hadn’t met before made me notice what most people walk past: a room before anyone arrives, the way a space holds a mood, the small details that make a place feel like somewhere.
That became my work. I photograph hotels, resorts and the brands behind them the way they feel to stay in, not only how they look. Dan and James joined me, and TOII STUDIOS is what the three of us make together.
We’d rather wait for the right light than rush a frame.
